Alexander Paper Party Plate

A laurel-crowned classical head worked in stone: a youth in profile wreathed in leaves, reeds and small fruits, set out tessera by tessera in the earthen olives, ochres and greys of an antique Roman floor mosaic.

The image belongs to the mosaic tradition of the Greek and Roman world, where portraits and personifications were laid in cut stone across villa floors to last millennia. Reproduced on paper, every tile and grout line is kept, so the plate reads like a fragment of pavement lifted to the table. Available in 9″ dinner and 7″ salad/dessert plates, plus a matching bowl.
