Description

One box sets the whole table. The La Chinoiserie Porcelain party table carries the eighteenth-century chinoiserie garden — blossoming branch, pheasant, low garden fence — across the plates and the placemat, in the classic navy-on-ivory blue-and-white. The napkin answers it in Fretwork, the open lattice, in the same two colours.

Per guest: a 9″ dinner plate, a 7″ salad plate, a 7″ bowl and two Fretwork dinner napkins. Every table also includes one Garden Scene placemat pad. Choose the table that fits your guest count — six, eight, twelve, sixteen or twenty-four.

A Note from Jeff

The blue-and-white chinoiserie garden is the most copied pattern in the history of European ceramics, and most of the copies miss what makes the originals work: the empty ground. The branch, the bird, the fence — they are placed, not scattered. Everything else is left alone.

Set the whole table in it and you get that same restraint at scale. One pattern, one colour, repeated down the length of a table, is quieter than four patterns trying to agree.
