Description

A set of four ghost plates in the 7″ size, one of each portrait in the collection: La Comtesse, Le Docteur, Le Colonel, and La Douairière. Sized for appetizers and desserts, the assortment turns a Halloween spread into a gallery of decayed daguerreotypes. Four plates, one of each ghost.

The Design

Each plate reproduces a different 19th-century daguerreotype portrait, foxed and bloomed by a century of tarnish and set on an aged ivory ground with a fine dark rim. Together they read as a haunted family gallery: the young comtesse, the bespectacled doctor, the corroded old colonel, and the dowager in her lace bonnet — one of each in a single set.

The Object

Four 7″ plates, one of each design, printed full-color on durable, food-safe paper. Sized for appetizers and desserts, the set dresses a whole table on its own or layers under the 9″ ghosts and the solid Les Classiques basics.
