The La Chinoiserie garden scene, laid the length of the setting — a company of figures gathered beneath a flowering canopy among parasols, pavilions and blossoming branches, drawn in the fine line of an old engraving and washed in a warm rouge.

The same imagined-East garden that runs across the La Chinoiserie plates, here as a tear-away paper placemat — a fresh sheet lifts off the pad for each setting. 12″ × 18″, 25 sheets to the pad. Rouge glows by candlelight and warms the whole table.
