Description

A winter sky on a plate — deep navy scattered with stars, one gold star at the centre, the whole of it ringed by a laurel wreath in green bound with red ribbon.

The wreath is the oldest device on a Christmas table and it predates Christmas by a long way: Rome gave laurel for victory, and it arrived at midwinter carrying that history with it. Here it frames a night sky rather than a door, which is the one place a wreath rarely gets to go.

Available in 9″ dinner and 7″ salad or dessert sizes, with a coordinating bowl. Eight plates.
