Noël — Le Tartan (Set of 8)

A dress tartan in full cry — scarlet ground, green blocks at the intersections, a blue over-check, and hairlines of white and yellow running through the whole of it. No holly, no ribbon, no snow.

Tartan earns its place at Christmas the way it earns its place on a hillside: it is already red and green, and has been for two hundred years. On a table it does the seasonal work unaided — and it sits as easily under a roast in January as under a cracker in December.

Available in 9″ dinner and 7″ salad or dessert sizes, with a coordinating bowl. Eight plates.
