Snake Appetizer Plate Set (7″)

A set of four antique snake plates in the 7″ size, one of each design in the collection: the Scarlet, the Black, the Grey Kingsnake, and the Red-Banded. Sized for appetizers and desserts, the assortment turns a Halloween spread into a naturalist's table. Four plates, one of each snake.

The Design

Each plate reproduces a different 19th-century natural-history engraving, four serpents studied and set on aged ivory grounds with fine dark rims. Together they read as a cabinet of specimens: the scarlet coral snake, the coiled black, the soft grey kingsnake, and the red-banded showpiece, one of each in a single set.

The Object

Four 7″ plates, one of each design, printed full-color on durable, food-safe paper. Sized for appetizers and desserts, the set dresses a whole table on its own or layers under the 9″ snakes and the solid Les Classiques basics.
