André Le Nôtre Tray
Description
André Le Nôtre gave France its geometry. Between 1656 and his death in 1700, he redesigned the French relationship to the outdoors — imposing on the landscape the same rational order that Descartes had imposed on philosophy and Colbert on commerce. Versailles. Vaux-le-Vicomte. Chantilly. The Tuileries. The man was not a gardener. He was an argument.
He deserves a better surface than a cocktail napkin. This original digital collage portrait — designed by Jeff Barnes and available exclusively through Vintage Voyagers France — puts Le Nôtre where he belongs: presiding over whatever you choose to serve. The tray is lacquered to a high gloss, lipped to keep things where they belong, and printed with the kind of fidelity that does justice to a man who spent his life insisting that everything be precisely where it should be.
It is, in short, the most distinguished surface your aperitif has ever rested on.
