The Versailles Fig Tree card carries a delicate watercolor illustration of a potted fig tree — the kind grown in the orangerie at Versailles, in painted terracotta containers wheeled inside for winter and back out to the parterre for summer — rendered in soft washes against a gentle sky. A quiet card for a garden lover, a housewarming, or any occasion that wants its correspondence to carry some sunlight. Interior blank, matte finish, envelope included. Packs of 8, 16, or 24.

The potted citrus tree is one of the recurring images in the visual culture of the French formal garden: the fig, the lemon, the orange, grown in painted terracotta containers at Versailles since the time of Louis XIV. On a card, the same image does what it always did in the decorative arts: it brings the garden inside, at a scale suited to the occasion.
