Les Meubles brings the vintage French furniture illustration to the table itself, drawn with the affection of an auction catalogue. Four formats, each sold in packs of 20: dinner and luncheon napkins for the place setting, cocktail napkins for the tray, and a guest towel for the washstand.

I have been collecting French furniture catalogues for years, not because I am a furniture collector in the serious sense, but because of the illustrations: the precision with which a skilled draughtsman could convey the weight of a piece of carved walnut or the sheen of a lacquered surface using nothing but line. A napkin printed with those drawings is a small act of homage to that tradition.
