The Versailles Orange Tree card carries a delicate watercolor illustration of a potted orange tree — the most famous of the Versailles orangerie specimens, cultivated since the reign of Louis XIV, its deep green leaves and bright fruit as much a symbol of the French formal garden as the parterre itself — rendered in soft washes against a gentle sky. Interior blank, matte finish, envelope included. Packs of 8, 16, or 24.

The orange tree is the most famous of the Versailles orangerie specimens: its deep green leaves and bright fruit have been among the symbols of the French formal garden since the reign of Louis XIV. On a card, the same image does what it always did in French decorative art: it brings the garden inside, at exactly the right scale for the occasion.
